Our homework principles were updated in December 2024 following research and consultation with parents. They focus on building on prior learning and developing core skills. Evidence from the Education Endowment Foundation shows that homework can have a positive impact on pupils’ progress, particularly when it is closely linked to learning in school and focuses on quality rather than quantity. Our approach is designed to reinforce classroom learning while also encouraging pupils to develop their interests and curiosity.
In the event of an extended school closure, we are committed to ensuring learning continues for all pupils through remote learning. This will be delivered online, and full details about platforms, resources and expectations will be shared with parents and carers at the time. We will communicate through our usual channels to support families in accessing and engaging successfully.
